Account Supervisor -
Direct Mail Data Specialist
We’re seeking an experienced Account Supervisor with a deep background in direct mail data management—ideally in insurance or warranty, but other industries considered. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings both strategic thinking and rigorous execution, with a heavy emphasis on data-driven direct marketing.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Experience & Industry Background

5-10 years of hands-on experience in direct mail data management and program execution

Acquisition and retention direct mail experience required; insurance or warranty industry experience preferred (not required)

Account management experience in an agency environment is highly valued, especially with exposure to matrix-driven reporting structures
Data Management & Compliance
Deep understanding of merge/purge reports, data hygiene, address standardization, segmentation, suppressions, de-duping, and compliance

Writes clear, actionable instructions for list processing teams/vendors and acts on results to optimize deliverability and targeting

Knowledge of best practices for handling PII and sensitive customer data
-
List brokerage expertise working with list brokers; understands data sourcing, compliance, and privacy best practices
Analytics & Reporting
Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, complex formulas, and synthesizing raw data into actionable executive summaries

Data visualization and reporting proficiency: strong experience pulling data and interpreting dashboards (Tableau preferred); able to create, analyze, and present response reports and campaign analytics

Campaign measurement and attribution: skilled in designing and interpreting response attribution (matchback, holdout, multi-touch)

Direct mail test design and analysis: sets up control/test cell structures; understands statistical significance and test measurement methodologies
Vendor, Partner & Creative Collaboration

Proven ability to collaborate with external data providers, list brokers, and print/mail vendors to ensure data integrity and timely execution

Experience with proofing, overseeing timelines, quality control, and vendor relationships

Experience with postal sortation methods and USPS regulations, including commingling, drop shipping and related processes. Experience with the USPS BCG a plus.

Management of creative development resources collaborating with creative staff and managing the development of creative assets for campaigns (multi-channels)
Campaign & Account Management

End-to-end campaign management: able to take a task from the beginning (TAM definition) to back-end analytics, overseeing all phases of campaign execution

Ability to document processes, create SOPs, and implement continuous improvement for data operations
Strategic & Communication Skills

Strategic thinker, planner, and analyst: translates data insights into actionable marketing strategies and optimizes future campaigns

Ability to synthesize and present complex analytics and campaign results to executive audiences, tailoring messaging for impact

Skilled at influencing and aligning cross-functional teams around campaign goals and data-driven strategies, effectively translating recommendations into measurable results

Strong communication and project management skills: writes clear creative briefs; guides creative, media, and production; confident presenter; organized and detail-oriented
Technical & Workplace Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Tableau preferred; Asana a plus

Digital and email marketing experience a plus; integrates direct mail data strategies with digital channels for multi-touch campaigns

Project Management

Serve as the day-to-day liaison between client and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of data-driven direct mail programs

Oversee flawless delivery by reviewing and proofing data files, creative, and production materials for accuracy
-
Manage timelines and project schedules to keep campaigns on track
-
Evaluate work to ensure alignment with strategy, creative brief, and data requirements
-
Manage multiple projects from kickoff through completion—on strategy, on time, and on budget
-
Partner with senior leadership to support strategic planning and identify new data-driven marketing opportunities
-
Identify ways to grow the client relationship through data insights and make recommendations to senior leadership
Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client communication on data and direct mail topics
-
Provide strategic and creative input, offering proactive solutions and recommendations based on campaign data
-
Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally
-
Ensure internal teams are informed of scope or timeline changes as they arise
-
Build a strong understanding of the client’s products, industry trends, and competitive landscape
Financial Management

Accountable for forecasting and achieving client revenue targets
-
Oversee job opening, budget tracking, and invoice oversight
-
Draft statements of work and maintain accurate inputs in internal systems
-
Monitor budgets and internal hours, raising any issues promptly to the appropriate teams
