 Associate Creative Director | Copy 

Position Overview

The Associate Creative Director is responsible for managing all direct response creative for a set of clients, including concepting creative ideas, writing copy, revising rounds of copy, directing art directors and copywriters, and overseeing each project from start to finish. Direct marketing experience is required.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of direct marketing agency experience

  • Background in copywriting

  • Experience in leading an agency creative team of art directors, designers and copywriters

  • Strong understanding of direct response best practices across channels

  • Expertise in writing for both print (direct mail) and digital (email, landing pages, social ads, display, etc.) channels, including character count limitations for social formats

  • Ability to use remote working tools (Dropbox, Zoom, etc.)

  • Ability to give compelling, engaging, seamless creative presentations

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects / multiple clients at one time

  • Ability to collaborate well with other creatives and account management to ensure quality work is delivered, and aligns with client objectives

  • Ability to think strategically and see the “big picture” in client objectives

  • Must be able to work remotely, either from home or while traveling, in an effective and efficient manner

  • Bonus: Adobe Creative Cloud skills

  • Bonus: Knowledge of HMTL programming and CSS

  • Bonus: PowerPoint design skills

Job Description

  • Serve as the senior-most creative on a set of clients from a day-to-day workflow standpoint, supported by the Senior Creative Director

  • Deliver strategically sound conceptual thinking aligning to client objectives

  • Craft concepts for a range of channels including email, paid social (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), direct mail, display advertising, landing pages, microsites, eBooks, whitepapers, videos and more

  • Effectively apply direct marketing best practices and principles to drive response and conversion

  • Absorb and translate brand guidelines into hard-working copy / creative deliverables

  • Review, direct and provide feedback on work from art directors and copywriters

  • Lead brainstorms and shepherd great ideas from spark to fully-designed solutions

  • Manage timelines for multiple projects simultaneously to ensure all projects are delivered on time and client expectations are set appropriately

  • Maintain positive, team-oriented attitude and abide by our core values
