Position Overview

  • Account and business leader for assigned accounts

  • Member of Pragmatic’s senior team

  • Equal parts effective operator and strategic thought leader

  • Will help set the vision and direction for Pragmatic’s future growth and value proposition in the market

  • Remote with requirements to collaborate with other team members and/or clients on a monthly or quarterly basis

  • For in person collaboration, ideal candidates will reside in preferred locations: IL or TX

  • Headquartered in CA

  • Includes travel

  • Reports to member of Senior Management team

Job Requirements

  • At least 15 years agency account experience in digital & direct marketing strategy development and management

  • Proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of client relationships

  • Deep knowledge of digital & direct marketing (CRM) strategy and execution

  • Must be able to develop, write, and present strategic plans for executive-level clients

  • Ability to lead team of direct reports and account managers while also leading cross-functional team – creative, analytics, development, production, etc.

  • Experience managing P&L, forecasting, and pipeline management related to assigned accounts

  • Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing program leadership a plus

Job Description

Client Management:

  • Builds and manages relationships throughout client organizations from director level to C-suite

  • Single "throat-to-choke" responsibility for executing flawlessly and delivering strategic value to client

  • Keeper of high-level vision for accounts, to ensure client satisfaction and healthy relationship as well as agency profitability

  • Becomes a SME for each client's business model, industry, and competition

Growth & Business Development

  • Responsible for setting revenue and margin goals for each assigned account and delivering on them

  • Drives organic growth as well as contributes to and/or leads new business initiatives


Financial & Resource Management:

  • Deploys the efficient use of agency resources while delivering maximum value to clients

  • Oversees and can delegate the financial process, i.e. creation of statements of work, forecasting, hours tracking, etc., but is ultimately responsible for it

  • Monitors all costs and agency resources to maximize both topline revenue and margin


Team Leadership:

  • Manages a team of direct reports and will be involved in the recruitment and hiring of new team members

  • Leads a cross-functional team, driving towards client and agency goals

  • Operates in an agile environment, managing matrixed teams in a "scrum"-like fashion
