Senior Art Director

Position Overview

​

The Senior Art Director is responsible for leading the visual side of creative for a set of clients, in collaboration with an Associate Creative Director. This includes concepting creative ideas, giving client presentations, revising rounds of design, helping to direct junior designers and contractors, preparing files for studio handoff, and ensuring the project's quality from start to finish.

Job Requirements​

​

  • 6+ years of direct marketing agency experience

  • Background in graphic design

  • Experience in working on an agency creative team

  • Strong understanding of direct response best practices across channels

  • Expertise in designing for both print (direct mail) and digital (email, landing pages, social ads, display, etc.) channels

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

  • Proficiency in Figma

  • Ability to use remote working tools (Dropbox, Zoom, etc.)

  • Ability to work hand in hand with copywriters to brainstorm and craft cohesive creative concepts

  • Ability to give compelling, engaging, seamless creative presentations

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects / multiple clients at one time

  • Ability to collaborate well with other creatives and account management to ensure quality work is delivered, and aligns with client objectives

  • Must be able to work remotely, either from home or while traveling, in an effective and efficient manner

  • Bonus: Knowledge of HMTL programming and CSS

  • Bonus: PowerPoint design skills

  • Deliver strategically sound conceptual thinking aligning to client objectives

  • Craft concepts for a range of channels including email, paid social (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), direct mail, display advertising, landing pages, microsites, eBooks, whitepapers, videos and more

  • Effectively apply direct marketing best practices and principles to drive response and conversion

  • Absorb and translate brand guidelines into hard-working design / creative deliverables

  • Work alongside copywriters and other creatives

  • Review, direct and provide feedback on work from junior designers

  • Actively participate in brainstorms, helping to shepherd great ideas from spark to fully-designed solutions

  • Manage timelines for multiple projects simultaneously to ensure all projects are delivered on time and client expectations are set appropriately

  • Maintain positive, team-oriented attitude and abide by our core values
