Senior Strategy Director
Position Overview

MUST have experience in direct and digital marketing strategy with a deep understanding of 1st and 3rd party data – experience with digital, personalization, data and automation platforms a plus
-
MUST have a demonstrated track record of writing and effectively presenting in-depth performance marketing strategies to large groups of clients and stakeholders – must be able to “sell” their ideas and concepts
-
Experience in financial services and card marketing a big plus (Energy and B2B also pluses)
-
Works with existing clients as well as participates and leads workstreams within business development efforts
-
Work from home – headquarters are in CA – and is available across time zones
-
Includes some travel (at least once a quarter)

Remote with requirements to collaborate with other team members and/or clients on a monthly or quarterly basis

For in person collaboration, ideal candidates will reside in preferred locations: IL or TX
Job Requirements​

10+ years of direct and digital marketing strategy experience

Advanced level of PowerPoint skills is a requirement

Excellent presentation skills a MUST

Proven track record at building and growing client relationships

Strong strategic thinker and effective problem-solver

Proficiency in Excel and Word

Organized and detail-oriented, requires little hand holding

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple team members

Maintains positive, team-oriented attitude

Must be willing to travel

Must work remotely, either from home or while traveling, in an effective and efficient manner

Works with a sense-of-urgency, meeting tight client deadlines
Job Description​

Strategy Development:​

Serves as central resource to account teams
-
Partners with Client Partners to align on scope details
-
Delivers strategy recommendations to clients including areas such as:
-
Channel mix often including performance channels such as SEM, SEO, programmatic digital, paid social, email, direct mail, streaming, etc.
-
Targeting, audience selection and segmentation
-
Data with a focus on addressable
-
Investment level and ROI projections
-
Competitive analysis using available sources
-
Leveraging personalization and marketing automation capabilities (understanding of these platforms is important)
-

Leads any research projects as needed – finding and managing ay required outside vendors

Analyzes results:

Reviews campaign results and provides comprehensive recommendation / optimizations
-
Must have the ability to digest and analyze large volumes of data and then provide a coherent analysis and recommendations

Writing & Presentation:
-
Writes presentations in persuasive PowerPoint presentations and presents them either live or via Teams/Zoom to large groups of senior-level marketers
-
Sells ideas and concepts in a compelling, high-impact manner
-
Occasionally writes blog posts and other content for Pragmatic on key strategic topics
Growth & Business Development:

Work in business development teams with responsibility for key strategy components – devising, writing and presenting entire critical sections

Develops strategies and sells new ideas into existing clients to stimulate organic growth
-
Collaborate with senior members of team and travel across the country on dates as required by the RFP/process
