Strategy Director
Position Overview

As the Director of Strategy, you’ll collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Strategy and account teams to support existing clients and drive business development efforts. Your focus areas will include:

Strategy Development: Create and refine marketing strategies aligned with both the agency’s and clients’ goals and objectives.

Client/Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external partners.
-
Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data insights to optimize marketing efforts, supporting client goals across key performance indicators (KPIs).
-
Industry Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert within the industry, providing valuable insights to internal and external partners.
-
Travel Requirements: Approximately 10-20% travel expected.

Work Arrangement: Remote.
Job Requirements​
Experience:
-
5+ years of direct and digital marketing strategy experience.
-
Deep understanding of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and zero-party data and their roles in strategy development.

Demonstrated ability to write and effectively present in-depth performance marketing strategies to large groups of clients and stakeholders.

Experience in financial services and/or card marketing (Energy and B2B experience a plus).

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.

Strong strategic thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.

Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with multiple team members.

Job Description​

Strategy Development:
-
Serve as a central resource for account teams.
-
Collaborate with Client Partners and the Sr. Director of Strategy to align on scope details.
-
Deliver strategy recommendations to clients, covering areas such as channel mix (including SEM, SEO, programmatic digital, paid social, email, direct mail, streaming), targeting, data (with a focus on addressable data), investment levels, ROI projections, competitive analysis, and personalization/marketing automation capabilities.

Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting client efforts.

Analyzing Results:

Review campaign results and provide comprehensive recommendations and optimizations.

Analyze large volumes of data to provide coherent insights.

Deliverables & Presentation:

Create compelling presentations and present to senior-level marketers, whether in-person or virtually.

Effectively “sell” ideas and concepts.

Growth & Business Development:

Assist in business development efforts, supporting key strategy components.
-
Develop and pitch new ideas to existing clients to stimulate growth.
